Nina van den Broek is a post-doctoral researcher at the Behavioural Science Institute at Radboud University in the beautiful Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Her research revolves around the social dynamics in youth food intake to help find solutions for the obesity epidemic and climate crisis.

Nina obtained her PhD (defense date: January 19, 2023) on the role of the social environment and the COVID-19 pandemic in adolescents’ healthy and unhealthy food intake (Radboud University, Nijmegen). Afterwards, she pursued a post-doc studying the role of lifestyle behaviors in the development of (changes in) mental health in youth (Radboud University, Nijmegen). Currently, she uses her Veni-grant (NWO) to understand the of personal social relationship in (un)healthy and (un)sustainable food intake.
